The two McLaren teammates have clashed in recent weeks on the track. First came the Canadian Grand Prix where the two were battling for fourth in the closing laps. As they raced into Turn 1 Norris tried to get by Piastri, making contact with his teammate’s rear and losing his front wing in the process, ending his race.

McLaren clinched a fourth 1-2 result of the season at the Red Bull Ring as Lando Norris led home Oscar Piastri, with the team pulling 200 points clear of second-placed Ferrari in the standings. But that impressive showing has not slowed the team’s development plan,
