Lakers second-round pick Adou Thiero won't participate in the team's summer league games. He's in the final stages of his return to play process from a left knee ailment he dealt with at Arkansas. He's expected to be fully cleared for training camp.

The team, featuring Bronny James, Dalton Knecht and other rookies and young players, will open play Saturday in San Francisco at the California Classic.
