Days before a possible sighting of missing murder suspect Travis Decker, the local sheriff described him as “dangerous” and “unpredictable” amid an intensifying manhunt

The Idaho search for accused killer Travis Decker has been suspended after authorities confirmed an apparent sighting was nothing more than a look-alike hiker with similar tattoos.

Decker may have been initially traveling on the Pacific Crest Trail, officials said. In mid-June, investigators said they believed they spotted Decker as a lone hiker in the Enchantments, a mountainous hiking area in Leavenworth, Washington.
