A suspect has been charged in the shooting death of a 45-year-old man killed while driving with his young grandson on Birmingham’s busy Parkway East. The deadly shooting, police said, appears to have stemmed from road rage.

On Wednesday the trial for Sidney Garrand began even though he was still missing. Garrand is charged in the second-degree murder of an 8-year-old.
