It appears as if college basketball fans are going to have multiple video games to choose from in the near future.

EA Sports appears to be capitalizing on the wildly successful recent return of its college football franchise -- and is now playfully teasing what looks like a long-awaited comeback for the college basketball version.

Although not as popular as its college football franchise that was revived last year, EA was among the industry's leaders in basketball gaming in the early 2000s. Its NCAA Basketball games (with earlier iterations named NCAA March Madness) were discontinued in 2009.
