The corner of 5th Street and 50th Avenue in Long Island City is now know as Mary "Mae" Foley Way, named after the New York Police Department's first female detective.

Memorials continue to grow across at numerous police stations as tributes from around the country pour for three detectives who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
