In a lengthy interview that was posted earlier this hour, Tretter tells Jonathan Jones of CBSSports.com that Tretter is resigning from the NFL Players Association. The former union president had returned last year, as the NFLPA's chief strategy officer.

(Atlanta News First) - According to a report by ESPN, former NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell Jr. charged the union for a visit to the Magic City strip club. The report says Howell and two employees visited Magic City during the NFLPA summit on Feb. 21. The three allegedly billed $2,426 in charges to the union.
JC Tretter has resigned from the NFLPA and removed himself from consideration as the union's interim executive director, he confirmed on social media.
Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa, a player rep for the team, said he’s been aware of all the changes and happenings with NFLPA leadership, though he didn’t want to discuss specifics more. Odighizuwa was asked about what the changes can do for not only player representatives, but also the rest of the players in the league.
The investigative journalist called for Goodell to be fired from his role of commissioner based on leaked arbitration conversations amongst NFL teams.
