In addition to guaranteeing his spot on the court, LeBron James has formally accepted his $52.6 million player option for the 2025–26 NBA season, escalating trade rumours that he is linked to the Golden State Warriors.

LeBron James is one of the greatest players in the history of basketball. From the No. 1 overall pick in 2003's NBA Draft to a record-setting, championship-winning legend for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, it's been an epic journey.

The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James do not appear to be on good terms currently. Plenty of reports have come out that suggest the two sides could part ways. Some think a trade might occur. Others simply think that James will play out the final season on his contract and either leave for another team or retire next offseason.
