Evangelos Marinakis, the Greek billionaire owner of Nottingham Forest, is in talks to buy a controlling stake in the historic Brazilian club Vasco da Gama, which would likely yield a key role for the former Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is set to take over another club in the wake of his move for Edu - now eyeing one in Brazil. Edu quit Arsenal earlier this month in a bombshell move. It was reported that a driving force behind his decision to move was the chance to work within a multi-club set-up.

Greek businessman Marinakis is keen to increase his portfolio of teams that already includes Forest, Olympiakos and Rio Ave.
