The House of Representatives Rules Committee passed the Senate’s bill to end the government shutdown with no amendments. The full House is expected to take a first, procedural vote on it this evening.
After a 54-day break, the House is expected to vote on the Senate-passed spending deal. Approval would clear it for President Trump’s signature.
Most Democratic lawmakers in the House are expected to oppose the continuing resolution, which does not include an extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits.
