Robert Duvall, the legendary character actor who starred in "The Godfather," "Apocalypse Now" and TV's "Lonesome Dove," has died at 95.

Robert Duvall, the Oscar-winning actor best known for “The Godfather,“ “Apocalypse Now” and many other tough-guy roles over an acclaimed screen career that spanned six decades, has died.

But it was his role as Tom Hagen in Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather' (1972) and its sequel (1974) that established him as a master of the craft of screen acting.
