Prime Video has a lot of great movies, and here are three that would be perfect to watch on the streaming service as the year 2026 kicks off.

Primate is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Paramount Pictures release. Almost all Paramount movies go to Paramount’s streaming platform, Paramount+, and not to Netflix.

One could even argue that Prime Video's sci-fi lineup has an indie film aesthetic. I mean, sure, there are algorithms for every streamer out there, but there's something about the titles featured here that feels different -- they push the envelope and defy expectations.
