We're not even six months into Trump's second term, and we're already seeing some major cracks in his MAGA base on issues like foreign wars and possible amnesty. The biggest example yet: FBI deputy director Dan Bongino is considering leaving his post after a heated confrontation with Pam Bondi over the so-called "Epstein files.
TAMPA, FLA. — The future activist base of the Republican Party found themselves at the center of MAGA’s biggest rifts Friday as young conservatives’ favorite influencers spoke about Iran, Epstein and immigration.
During his remarks, Trump asked Bondi if she felt like answering the reporter's question. "I don't mind answering," the attorney general replied. When the president finished speaking, Bondi addressed the reporter and cited an interview she did with Fox News in February, which she said had "been getting a lot of attention."
After it was revealed that Bongino—who climbed the MAGA ranks as a conspiracy theorist claiming a “Washington swamp” cover-up over Epstein—is reportedly considering resigning his position over a feud with Bondi, now it seems that Patel wants Bondi gone, too.
