A Republican congressman from Georgia faced some tough criticism and occasional boos from constituents Thursday night as he fielded questions about the Trump administration’s early actions.

Georgia Rep. Richard McCormick was heckled and booed by an angry crowd at a recent town hall meeting following comments he made about DOGE.

Georgia senators voted 33-21 on Friday to support Gov. Brian Kemp's top-priority legislation to limit lawsuits, but not before some of Kemp's fellow Republicans extracted a concession in exchange for the votes necessary to secure a majority.

The bill passed 33-21, with Republican state Sen. Colton Moore the only one from his party to say no and Democratic state Sen. Emanuel Jones joining with Republicans voting for the bill.

Georgia's Senate passes significant legal changes, including limits on medical damages. Critics argue it may limit Georgians' right to seek damages.
