Federal workers received an email Saturday afternoon asking them to list their accomplishments from the past week or resign - the latest development in the Trump administration's efforts targeting the federal workforce.

President Trump and Elon Musk have spent several weeks slashing federal jobs — often in defiance of legal limits — and there are more to come. These are the reported cuts to date.

The new administration, along with DOGE and Musk, created a federal buyout program that offered government employees the option to resign immediately, but still be paid and have benefits until October. As of Feb. 13, 77,000 employees accepted the offer, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
