Lineman Eric Weems died and another, Trent Granger, was injured while working on an electrical project in Griffin, Ga. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

“I really do love my job. I get to go out and do what I love,” Weems told a cameraperson. “And to be able to help others...you can’t beat it.” He goes on to describe what it’s like to be a lineman: hard days of dangerous work. But that he wouldn’t change it.

GRIFFIN, Ga. — The city where a lineman was killed while on duty says it will make grief counselors available to employees who need assistance. Another worker was seriously injured in the incident. People in the Griffin neighborhood say it’s sad someone lost their life while working.
